Love Love Love The Civil Wars!! and I've really been getting into the Canopy Climbers album. Call me uncool, but I'm not a big fan of DCFC.

I would have included Give up and Plans as well, but I didn't feel like I've been into to Death Cab/The Postal Service long enough to really justify including them on the list.

FIF was one of my favorites for a long time, and Electric Boogaloo was actually one of the first full discs I heard. I miss them!

Mike, that was beautifully written. I appreciate the way you described James. His father and I wonder so much about why? why? why? Did James somehow go down the wrong path? Was there something evil or sinister in his life? But over and over, we receive messages like yours that tell how he touched someone else's life and about his heart of gold. I know that no matter what overcame him in his last few moments of life, that he was loved. That whatever pain he was feeling in his heart, he was walking into the open arms of a loving Heavenly Father. I know his dad and I loved him more than any parent could or probably should love a child. He truly was the apple of my eye, my true pride and joy, and every other cliche to the nth power! Thank you for your beautiful expression of friendship to my son. I know that he truly admired and loved you, Mike. Thank you for being his friend to the end! Donnie and I pray you and your family are doing well!

Better late than never....

The drums segment (especially a U2 song!) was really something to be a part of. It was (and is) amazing to work with the WEC band and the technical crew. So much talent and so much dedication. I'm blessed to be a part of it. You guys were awesome!!!!

wow. you have hit some good ones...a few highlights of mine...4. DCB* - crazy concert, so many people jumping up and down it cracked teh wall behind the upper tier. 3. Delerious? - same environment, with some amazing worship mixed in 2. Van Halen - in the pit, sick! 1. GNR - back when they were notorious for short shows where axel stormed off the stage, i think we got the retribution...6 1/2 hours @ greensboro, nc...rocking set, acoustic on couches, back to complete hardcore...crazy.

VH was AMAZING! It was the coolest feeling being in the presence of a legendary band and of course, EVH melted my face off. I can't wait until we see U2/Muse.

Every volunteer on Sunday rocked. We couldn't have pulled it off with those folks serving. Of course, I have a special place in my heart for the band and production team...you guys brought it STRONG!! But the most amazing part of the day was watching approx 300 people stand up to say they were "busted" and needed Jesus in their lives. I'm grateful that I could be a small part of it.
